Luggage and travel tips

As usually I don't need a lot of clothes while traveling. But during all my travels I realized and created my own way to pack the things, to create my own Must-have list and to have maybe my tips for traveling.

Here I will share with you all my way of preparing and packing for an usual trip.

LUGGAGE

For short, over-weekend trips I take 1 small bag. I bought it at Carpisa especially for this purpose. The unique disadvantage is that however you need to care it on your shoulder.

For longer trips till 10-14 days in the summer or 1 week in the winter (because clothes are more voluminous), I need my adorable yellow Roncato luggage.

However I care even a tote bag for keeping personal stuff easy to take and to use during the flight or on the way. During all my trips I tried different types of bags: small, big, clutches...but at the end the best idea is to have a tote bag and I will explain why:
- it can fit everything what I might need during my way
- it has all my first necessary things
- it might even care some things bought at duty free or on the way
- it have even some additional things which I might need in case of delay, or long waiting
- as usually it has long strap which permit to care it on the shoulder when I might get tired, just to change position of the bag
- and at the end its not so heavy and not so big

PREPARING THE LUGGAGE
I have several steps for preparing the luggage:
- preparing standard cases
- list and scheduling days
- preparing the rest according to the list
- fitting everything inside

As usually, I start with my standard set of cases:

1. Beauty case
2. Nail case
3. Shower/hygiene case
4. Hair case
5. Jewelry case

1. Beauty case

Inside

- mascara 
- make-up brushes
- eye-liners (black, white and some colorful in case of bright make-up)

- Naked basic shadows
- Naked 3 in 1 (Blush - Bronzer - Highlighter)
- Foundation
- Hair styler
- anti-blemish roll
- Corrector
- Q-tips
- Transparent powder (love it for making my face matte)
- face cream (as soon as I don't care about the type I can use even other for short period of time)
- Travalos with different parfumes
- Eye primer

Just to let you know - this is my STANDARD beauty case for traveling. Time ago I made a list and now I just keep it in the phone in order to check, but however the easiest way to realize what you need is to imagine your beauty procedures from he first to the last one.

2. Nail case
Its new one and I absolutely adore it! From now on it's definitely gonna be my Must have in the trips! Small, cute, comfortable, easy to use, rigid.

- different nail polishes (the MUST is: 1 red for toe nails, 1 transparent which I will use as base and top coat and 1 neutral)

- glass nail pile
- nail wax
- nail polish removal pads (very comfortable in the trips)
- quick dry spray
- hand cream (this time it didn't fitted and stayed in Shower case)

3. Shower/hygiene case

- 3 step system form Clinque
- teeth brush - teeth paste - dental floss
- make-up removal
- deodorant
- shampoo + balsam
- hand cream (some times it stays in Nail case)

 
4. Hair case

- hair brush (as usually I'm taking Tangle Teezer)
- elastics
- big elastics for making Greek style
- hair bun
- barrettes

5. Jewelry case 

Here is no point to show as it is different time after time and according to clothes which I'm taking. However the case is soft inside so the jewelry will not get broken.



- list and scheduling days

As usually, before each trip I'm preparing a short list and draft schedule of my stay in order to organize my minds about what to wear and what to take with me. As usually its something veryyy easy and simple, but I'll show you an example from excel

Like this is much more easier to keep in mind what you can dress, what you need to take, what and how you can combine different types of shoes, jewelry and accessories, in order to save the place.

HAND LUGGAGE
As I told you before after years of traveling I found my prefer hand bag. It's Tote one. Although I don't like to care big bags, but I prefer to have all necessary things in case of delays, long waiting, or other unforeseen situations.

So, my tote bag looks like:

- Kindle (my absolute Must-have)
- passports
- wallet
- small beauty case
- iPhone
- Sanitizer
- case for chargers (iPhone charger, headsets, flash USB for 16 GB)
- keys
- scarf (always-always-always for traveling, as in the planes is always cold)
- chewing gums
- pen


Small everyday beauty case:

 

- oil control tissues
- bandages
- anti-pain pills
- mini hand cream
- lip balm
- lip gloss to add some color
- nail clipper
- cloth for glasses
- Travalo
- Anti-blemish roll
- Fresh breath spray
- Guerlain compact meteorites
- elastics

Believe me, it might seem to be a lot of stuff, but at the end, there's always place for some shopping from trip destination. I'm also, enough good at packing things - thanks to my mom, who was teaching me this form early childhood.
